70m vision for nearly 440 homes in Norwich The St Anne's Wharf site, between King Street and the River Wensum, has stood derelict since 1999, but was bought burberry the brand last year by Orbit Homes.

And the developer has released an artist's impression of what could be in store, ahead of an event tomorrow, where they will share more details of their intentions. Orbit Homes wants to build 437 new homes, 22,000 square foot of commercial space, and a central plaza area along the riverfront, which will include a landscaped open space. Maggie McCann, development director for Orbit Homes, said: "We know there is a lot of public interest in the site, with it having stood empty for almost 20 years, so we are looking forward to sharing our plans with the local community. "We have committed to spending 70m to regenerate St Anne's Quarter burberry bags sale uk into burberry clearance online a mixed tenure sustainable development that will provide new homes to meet need and aspiration." The developer hopes the first homes will be complete in summer 2017, with a mix of studio, one, burberry outlet seattle and two bedroom apartments and houses, as well as eight commercial units. Human remains, coins, pottery, oyster shells, animal bones and painted glass were discovered by archaeologists who carried out excavations at the site once the site of the 13th century Austin Friars Priory. Their findings shed new light on the religious order which arrived with nothing on marshland on the edge of Norwich and went on to become one of four monastic orders which transformed the city. Of the houses which those monastic orders built, only St Andrew's and Blackfriars' Hall survives, so being able to explore where the Austin Friars were once based provided important information on the city's medieval past. The development will also see the restoration of historic Howard House, in King Street once a grand summer home for Henry Howard in the late 16th century but now a crumbling ruin which has been empty for 25 years.

The St Anne's Wharf site already has planning permission. People can learn more about the plans at Dragon Hall in King Street from 4pm until 7pm tomorrow. What do you think?
